New Therapist, Malcolm McPhee, DPT

We are pleased to announce the addition of Malcolm McPhee, DPT as a full time therapist. Malcolm grew up in Anacortes, graduating from AHS in 2000. He attended the University of Washington graduating in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry. After working in research for a couple of years he attended the University of Vermont and graduated in 2011 with a DPT (doctorate of physical therapy). Malcolm worked at Island Hospital as a physical therapist from 2011-2016. His areas of interest compliment the philosophy of Sherman PT with a focus on one to one care, postural alignment, pain patterns and designing a specific exercise program for each patient to be done at home along with clinical treatments. Malcolm has advanced training in functional movement assessment, TPI golf fitness, MYoKinesthetic soft tissue and NeuroKinestheticTherapy nervous system treatment techniques.

Malcolm's training is focused on helping people young and old resume their activities and sports with decreased pain and improved performance.

He is an avid athlete himself and enjoys hiking, biking, swimming, skiing, golfing, and playing soccer. We are excited to add Malcolm to our team and to continue providing high quality care to our community.

Our Clinic

Our Advantage

Physical Therapy is based on science, and as practitioners, we also employ the art of healing. At Sherman Physical Therapy we treat the whole person. Our focus is on the relationship between posture and pain. We give each patient a personalized exercise plan to be used whenever they have pain, for the rest of their life. The end result is a person who knows how to use exercise and postural awareness to relieve his or her pain.
